So now that you’ve finally decided to purchase that product and can’t wait to try it out, you have to find out that it does anything else but what you’ve expected. Don’t worry, you still have a chance to get your money back with the following tips for getting an immediate product refund.
1. False advertising
“Get 10.000 hits to your website in 24 hours”. Such tempting promises might sure make you wanna flip out your credit card immediately. But when you apply the methods or use the software and have to find out that those 10.000 hits might really result in 10, then this is a legitimate reason for requesting a refund. Unfortunately it’s not always that easy. Many vendors get around such false advertising by stating in the fine print that these results cannot be guaranteed. Therefore always keep an eye on such statements and if you cannot believe what’s advertised then search for product reviews using your favorite search engine.
2. Product outdated
Believe it or not, but I’ve seen products that were still advertised and happily took the money out of the customers’ pockets but were totally outdated or didn’t work anymore. I once bought a product that could not be downloaded anymore but still had the sales page up and running, it even displayed the current date indicating the end of a special promotion. Every attempt to contact the creator of the software failed and after I read in a forum that I wasn’t the only one not being able to download the software, I contacted the credit card processing company and got my money back.
3. Usability
Not every software is as user-friendly as Windows (you got the joke, right?!), which can be frustrating if you want nothing more than use it immediately. For most complex software products there exist written tutorials that exactly describe how to use them and sometimes even video tutorials that make the product handling even easier. If you’ve read and watched all tutorials and still cannot manage to use the product, then state this to the creator and you should get that refund.
If you’ve contacted the product creator and still were not able to get a refund despite some legitimate and acceptable reasons, not all hope is gone. Most marketplaces offer a refund guarantee for products that were sold through them (e. g. Clickbank offers its customers a general refund policy of 8 weeks after the product purchase, for a vendor like PayDotCom you have to contact the credit card processor like Paypal which has a refund policy of 60 days).
It is always suggested to clearly state the reason for your product refund and to keep a friendly communication style. Even if the product is not worth a single penny it doesn’t make things easier when you insult the creator. Try to show that you’ve really tried to use the product in an efficient way, maybe attach some screenshots, include suggestions what could be better, etc. The product creator might loose you as a customer but still can benefit from your experience and will most of the time happily give you the refund.
Whatever you do, please be fair. It’s just not right to purchase a product which you badly want and then request a refund to get your money back but still continue to use the product. Most marketplaces (Clickbank, PayDotCom) tolerate 2 or even more refunds, but after that you might not be able to purchase anything again through the specific company.

Amid all the noise and hype on the Internet today, not many people realize that all the ideas and techniques you can find are petty much useless if you don’t first understand your business model. In other words, even the most amazing Internet marketing technique will not work if you don’t understand how to apply it to YOUR business.
The 3 most popular business models are:
1) Affiliate Marketing
This is perhaps the most popular one out there, since there are absolutely no barriers to entry. Almost anyone can sign-up for an affiliate program for free and start promoting the product or service on the Internet with hopes that someone will buy, giving them instant commissions. Affiliate marketers don’t carry any risk, since they do not pay for the creation of the product, they do not handle customer service and they do not need any up-front investments.
When you consider that those are the top three things people want to avoid, it’s no surprise that almost everyone and their neighbor promotes an affiliate program or another. In fact, if there is a single reason why the Internet today is so proliferated with ads and banners, it’s because of affiliate programs.
Even though there are so many affiliate marketers out there, only 5% ever make any money and only 1% makes big money. The “Super Affiliates” do it very differently from all the other millions; therefore they earn the big checks.
2) E-book and Information Publishing
Sitting at the other end of the spectrum, e-book authors need to be more disciplined in their approach to Internet marketing. Of course, they also need to invest more than affiliates do. While affiliates can get away trying to “get something for nothing” the same is not true for the e-book type of business.
If you’re thinking about publishing and selling your own e-book online, and you think it’s going to be easy, think again. You’ll need to learn a lot more than affiliates are required to. You’ll need to spend some amount of money getting your business up and running. However, when you do it right, the payoff in this online business model is much more rewarding.
The reason why e-book marketers and “Infopreneurs” make more money is simple; they have very, very low production and maintenance costs. Anything digital doesn’t cost a single cent to be produced in millions if necessary. Whatever initial start-up costs spent can be covered by selling just a few copies of high-margin e-books, and you can even recruit an army of affiliates who are more than willing to do all the selling for you.
Of course, it’s not as easy as it sounds, but the point is, when done properly, the “E-book Publishing” model is a truly profitable business.
3) Internet Based Network Marketing
I’ve heard many people say that the Internet and network marketing are a match made in heaven. In my opinion, though, almost 90% of people get it wrong when it comes to Internet based network marketing. People in this business usually think they’re talking about network marketing, but in reality they are talking about affiliate marketing.
They try to make the Internet do all the work. They hide behind their computers and pretend everything’s going great. They focus on selling more and more every month. They have systems that are so complicated only they can understand it. Well, that doesn’t sound like network marketing to me!
Internet based network marketing is simple if you understand it, and are willing to put in the effort. The role of the Internet here is only to get you the names and contact details of people you can talk to, after which YOU, not a computer, has to build a relationship with these people and help them to start their own business.
For this simple purpose, it is not necessary for you to have a high-tech system and pretend that your auto responder is building relationships for you. It’s not going to work. The key is to have simple systems that are duplicable, something you can teach to all those people you have built a relationship with.
E-book authors, no matter what they say, have no obligation to teach you their “Secret Strategies to Become a Millionaire” of any variations to that. The reason is simple; why tell you the absolute truth when you’ll end up as their competitor? No one wants more competitors, right?
Internet based network marketing is very much the opposite of that. You HAVE to tell people EVERYTHING you know or your business will never take off. For this reason alone, I always recommend that if you’re new to the online world, you need to first join an Internet based network marketing business at least to learn. Rest assured, no one will be selling you half-baked truths when their success ultimately depends on yours.
No matter which model you choose, make sure you understand the basics, and stop listening to and buying things that are not applicable to your business. Information overload can stop you before you even get started.

The webmaster’s biggest job is to get their traffic up and keep customers/visitors coming back. Building the site is one thing, but simply building and posting a website does not guarantee traffic. In fact, a website could be beautiful and an example of all the latest technology and still not attract a single visitor if not promoted correctly. Here are 10 tips to guide you to success with your website.
(1) The internet is a new medium.
At least compared to print, it is. A website is a waste if it simply re-hashes something which could easily be put into print. Don’t have the site be just an online brochure. Put up features which take advantage of the internet as a medium of communication. Filter information for them. Provide search capability. Provide interactivity with features like forums, quizzes and tools. Web visitors like to interact.
(2) Treat the Customer’s Time as Valuable.
When a person visits your website, you have their attention for that point in time. You either need to use it or you will lose it – fast. Most visitors have short attention spans, what you need to design your site homepage so that it grabs their attention and provides what they are looking for right away. Its like walking into a restaurant. If you walk in and just stand there and nobody comes to greet you, you might wonder what is happening. But, if the hostess comes and greets you right away and walks you to a table, then you will be there for awhile and eat. The same analogy goes for websites. Don’t overcomplicate your website homepage. Best results will be obtained if you make it very clear where to click to find what they need.
(3) Design the site for customers, not the company.
Your site needs to satisfy the needs of customers, not the company. So, don’t post content which is not really useful to the site’s customer. And avoid over-flattering marketing hype about the company. It inflates the ego of the company more than it helps your customer.
(4) Involve the Visitor.
Keep the visitor involved and make them feel like a valuable contributor. Actively ask for the feedback and suggestions. Ask for communication from your visitors and answer that communication swiftly. When getting that communication, capture their email address. This will allow you to communicate with them long after they have moved on and forgotten about you.
(5) Keep it Current.
You need to have content on your website which is timely and relevant to the customer’s life. Posting month-old news is not interesting. Posting dry product information which never changes is not interesting. Yes, you need to have product information and other information on your site that won’t change much, but you can also post more timely content. You can, for example, post content about how your products can be used in certain situations in life. Provide tips and techniques – things which are immediately applicable and solve a problem.
(6) Pay Attention to Form/Design.
Some sites simply over-do it on the eye-candy. Big graphics just for the sake of graphics often impress the site’s designer more than the visitor. Do not use graphics that are large and purposeless. Remember, some visitors may still be accessing your website via dial-up. Your site needs to load up quickly for all users. A slow website will cause your users to leave quickly. Also, pay attention to graphic and design size. Many web designers operate on fairly large screen resolutions and sometimes forget that even though a graphic looks great to you, it will appear enormous to somebody on a smaller resolution. On the flip side, don’t go too light on graphics. A site which is poorly designed and using the default font and no color is not very aesthetically pleasing. Any web visitor, whether they admit it or not, judges your company by your website unless they have something else to go on. A well-designed site communicates professionalism. A poor design makes the site seem like an afterthought.
(7) Promote.
When a visitor communicates to you via email, it is best to use a web form. not only will this keep your email address from being picked up by spammers, it will also allow you to ask your customers for their email address and then store that address for later use. Employ the “push/pull” marketing strategy. A visitor coming to your website is the pull, but later you want to push content back to them in the form of a newsletter or other promotional material. Start a mailing list and use it. Invite visitors to sign up. Promotion makes or breaks a business, and as long as you respect the ethical considerations of your mailing list, you should use it.
(8) Don’t Operate in a Cocoon.
The internet is a medium which is shared by millions. When you set up your website, don’t operate as if you are a self-contained island. Get out there and keep in tune with what is happening on other websites related to your own. Participate in forums. Post links to other websites and ask for a link in return. Form partnerships with other sites if it is appropriate. When it comes to communication, people like personal contacts. Hiding behind general email address like “sales” and “info” is OK as long as there is a way to also email you directly. A company site which allows email direct to the management is good. Just remember how much you hate calling a company and getting stuck in their phone system. Sometimes you just want to talk to somebody. Give your visitors that ability.
(9) Have a Plan to Attract Repeat Traffic.
Use newsletters, out-going email, contests, forums, clubs, auctions – anything that will cause people to return to your website. When posting links to other websites, don’t just send your visitors somewhere else. They may never return. Provide them an exit page. Give them a pop-up when they try to leave your site. Or at the very least make external links open in a new window.
(10) Track Your Visitors
Pay attention to your site’s statistics and react accordingly. What are people reading? How are they finding you? Do they just come and leave right from your homepage? How long as they are on your website? Do they return? This data is immensely valuable in fine-tuning your website based on customer needs and wants. Remember, the biggest mistake of any webmaster is designing the site for what THEY want. A successful website is designed for the target audience, not to impress the site’s owner.

1. You don’t offer free original content. It’s important to give your visitors information they can’t find anywhere else. If you’re the only source for a certain type of information, people will flock to your web site.
2. You don’t offer free software. Most people like to find good deals on software for their computers. If the software is free, that is even better.
3. You don’t offer a free contest or sweepstakes. It’s a fact, people like to win things. If you can fulfill that need, people will stop by to visit.
4. You don’t offer a free directory. Create a directory of web sites on a particular topic that is related to your target audience. People will visit because they will find what they’re looking for, all in one place.
5. You don’t offer a free e-zine. Most people love to get free information that they’re interested in emailed to them on a regular basis. This saves them time and money.
6. You don’t offer a free community. People like to have a place were they can have discussions with others on a particular subject. You could add a chat room or message board to your web site.
7. You don’t offer a free affiliate program. One of people’s basic needs to survive is money. When you offer them a free opportunity to make money they’ll line up to visit your web site.
8. You don’t offer a free online utility. When you offer a utility that can solve a problem, people will visit your web site. The utility could be a free autoresponder, e-mail account, search engine submission, etc.
9. You don’t offer free current information. Supply news stories related to your web site. People want up-to-date news on the topics they are interested in. They will also be interested in visiting your web site.
10. You don’t offer free samples of your product or service. Have you ever been to a store and you jumped at the chance to get a free sample of food? This same concept will also attract people to visit your web site.

We all are in search of the silver spoon that will put our business on automatic pilot and the only thing we have to do is cash the checks. Aren’t you looking for this as well? I say you are and that’s the reason why you’re actually reading this article. You’re hoping to find the one tool, the one method, the one trick or the magic system that will make your dreams come true.
However, I have to disappoint you. There is no such thing as a silver spoon that will magically run your business while you sit back, relax and do nothing. If there was one, why is everybody trying to sell you the next big thing or the breakthrough that will make you rich and you won’t need to chase the magic system anymore?
Are you still confused? Because I am. You bet! Without exact and clear definition of what you are doing, there will be no answers. What does being rich mean to you? What exactly will the $50,000 solve for you? It sure means something different to you than it does to me. We all strive to achieve our financial freedom, and that’s the only thing we have in common
Sorry for getting off topic here, but I bet you still want to know how to make real money with an Internet business, don’t you? So no more repeating marketing material over and over again , but instead I will tell you how I make real money with my Internet business.
First, you need a product and a website to sell your product. I joined several programs that offer new tools and books with full master resale rights every month. What this actually means is that I can resell these products and keep 100% of the profit. I also have full control over the sales letter. This is very important. You are the one to set the price and you decide which bonus material you want to add. You also need somebody to process the credit card payments. My choices are PayPal and Clicbank.
Right, so by now you have a fantastic sales web site and you’re ready for business, but there is still a problem. To your misfortune nobody knows that you just opened for business and the cobwebs are starting to grow on your front door. The missing killer ingredient is traffic. Yepp, you need traffic and LOTS OF IT! Do not do what I did. After joining all kinds of traffic exchange programs I can honestly say, they don’t work. You need something more powerful.
So here is exactly what I do every time I create a new web site for a new product I’m promoting, whether as my own or as an affiliate. I put an ad on the major pay-per-click engines like Google, Oveture, 7search and FindWhat. This gives my business a jump start. Please read all terms and agreements of these before you jump in, as they can be very dangerous.
Next I create backdoor pages for the new web site and promote them to the search engines through a blog. Search engines will index your pages much faster when you have a link to them from a blog. Never submit your sales web site directly to any search engines. You will get much higher rankings if they find you.
I also make sure that I place a popup window on every doorway page to sign up for my newsletter. One, that cannot be blocked. This way, at least, I’m sure to capture the email addresses of my visitors. Also several Google AdSense windows will give me a little kick back.
Now a way to make it even more profitable, I take advantage of the thank you page for the newsletter subscription. I give away free stuff with lots of references to other web sites of mine and I make the subscriber aware that the real good stuff to download is hidden in an email. Therefore if they give you a fake email just to download the free stuff it won’t work. But at least they download the free promo material. My statistics are showing me that this is working. I always make sure that the free stuff I’m giving away has viral marketing built in. Meaning, it needs to reproduce itself without any intervention from my part.
This doesn’t sound like much, but after setting up 5 sales web sites, the system is gaining momentum. Very soon, I will be able to drop the pay-per-click advertising, and I know that the system is able to support itself with enough visitors in order to make a profit.
Yeah I know, this is a lot of work. However, think about it and picture it in your head. Let’s say you put together a new sales web site every month. The possibility is that after 6 months you break even with the initial startup cost and pay-per-click costs. After that you’re making net profits. Let’s also say you’re making $200 a month in profits. Not much, but to be realistic. After just one year, if you have 12 sales web sites up and running, they produce $2400 a month in profits. Now tell me, would you walk away from a business like that? I didn’t think so!
Here’s a reality check for you, “if you want to get rich very quick you need to pray to win the lottery. But if you want to start a serious Internet business I advise you to follow my strategy. It works for me, and the chances are that it will work for you too. If you really want to push this system to the limits simply create several top of the pick affiliate programs and your profits will sky rocket through the roof.

With expansion of internet, many websites promote themselves by sending you spam junk mails, advertisings and even spy wares. These things not only publicize your personal information, but also enable hackers and crackers to infiltrate your system. Anonymous proxy servers act as a wall between your data and internet, thereby providing security to your system and data.
Before we move on to the deeper concept of anonymous proxy servers, let us understand the concept of a proxy server. A proxy server acts as a buffer between your system and the internet resources you are trying to access. The proxy servers gather and store files which are commonly requested by internet users in a unique database known as cache. These proxy servers increase the speed of your browsing by providing you immediate information from their cache. The overall performance of internet becomes very high. However these proxy servers do not hide your Internet Protocol (I.P) address.
The anonymous proxy servers are the proxy servers which hide your I.P address thereby securing you from the susceptibilities attached to it. By hiding your I.P address these anonymous proxy servers secure you from any unauthorized or illegitimate access to your computer. These servers completely hide the details of your activities on the internet. Besides that, they even hide the fact that you are using a proxy server. These servers can be used for almost all web related purposes like, chatting, file transfer, emails and much more.
With exorbitant expansion of internet, its risks have also evolved. One of the major risks which you face while surfing the net is viruses. Another major risk you face during the browsing is lack of privacy. As you access different web resources, these resources gather your personal information through your unique Internet Protocol Address. These resources spy upon your browsing habits and can even inhibit you from accessing information from the net. You even become an easy target for various advertising agencies and marketers. These gather information about your I.P address, your email and your surfing interests on the net. Then they send their junk emails and spam on to your system and your email addresses.
Without an anonymous proxy server a website can even utilize security loops in your system with the help of hacking programs. These programs can make your system hang, make it perform in a bizarre manner and can even access and modify the content on your hard disk. They just need to gain your I.P address and it’s all done. Anonymous proxy servers help you in a great way by hiding your I.P address and protecting you from all these threats. Anonymous proxy servers hinder every chance of leak and misuse of your I.P address.
After you have discovered the benefits of having an anonymous proxy server, you would probably like to buy it. You can download or buy it from the internet. There are numerous sites, which provide you with the best variety of anonymous proxy servers available on internet. You can view the detailed features of various servers and even compare prices. Next you can place your order, and it would be delivered to you. Enjoy the experience of complete risk free surfing through anonymous proxy servers.

Why do women sometimes pretend to be men when talking in chat rooms or using chat programs? Is it because some immature males treat all women like second-class citizens or brainless bimbos so that you have to pretend to be male to get listened to? Or is it just curiosity about how men talk to other men? Or how other women talk to men?
Someone who plays in a game I run asked if a friend of his could join in, and then put me in chat program contact with her. We talked over the Internet for a while before meeting in the flesh. While chatting, she admitted that she sometimes pretends to be male online. I haven’t got around to asking her why, but now I wonder? When she returns from traveling overseas I’ll have to ask her.
In a way, it is liberating that a woman can so easily pretend to be a man when she is online. There’s no need to disguise her with bulky clothing or a false beard. She can just make a new profile that says she’s male and then try to keep up the façade when talking to people. Amusingly, she was good enough at it to have had a six month long friendship as a man with someone else claiming to be a man who was also really a woman.
Does biological gender really matter in our modern world of equality? Perhaps in the name of antidiscrimination we should all claim to be male when online, regardless of our true gender. Or, we could all just refuse to give a gender, affirming and declaring neuter-ness and asking to be treated as simply ‘people’.
On further reflection, requiring everyone to give any one answer seems the opposite of freedom. Why bother? It would be simpler if everyone who’s online could just answer the question of gender however they please, just like we all have been anyway, for reasons of our own.

The information super highway is quickly becoming the revenue super highway. Online, work-at-home opportunities are as common as pigeons in New York. Thousands of people are quitting their jobs, working from home and making money. If you have the motivation and some extra time, you can start own work-at-home online business.
So far this probably sounds like one of those e-mails you always delete advertising one of these so-called online businesses. Don’t worry. I’m not trying to sell you anything or even suggesting a specific online business that lets you work at home. This article is to let you know about some of the options. It’s up to you to decide what will work for you.
USE YOUR PRIOR TRAINING OR SKILLS TO FREELANCE
No matter what your expertise is: writing, coding, painting, or contorting your body into odd shapes, there are websites out there designed to help you find jobs in that field that let you work at home. These sites operate in different ways. Some post job opportunities and allow members to bid on them while others post jobs and have respondents contact the clients directly. Some charge membership fees, some don’t. Sites like craigslist.com or writerlance.com are wonderful examples of places to find freelance jobs that will let you work at home. Search engines are your friends when looking for a site that caters to your particular skills set. If you look hard enough, you’re sure to find something.
WRITE ABOUT YOUR FIELD
Enter the wonderful world of blogging. Over the course of your life, you’ve learned a lot, both from success and failure. Maybe you know the best way to filet a salmon or how to count cards so the casino monitors can’t catch you. You’d be surprised how many people are dying to know this information. If you have a halfway decent ability to write, consider starting a blog. If you can get people reading your blog, you can make money, no matter what you write about. The writing is only the bait. It’s what you include with the writing that is the food on your plate.
When you’re writing, think about your audience. Target your articles to a niche group, and then target all of your money making plans to that group. People are more responsive to a targeted campaign than a general one. Don’t worry. I’m getting to how to actually make the money.
HERE IT IS, THE MONEY MAKING PART OF YOUR WORK AT HOME BUSINESS!
There are a number of ways to make money online, both using a blog and not. One way is affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you put a link to someone else’s site somewhere online, and the linked site pays you per click or a commission on every sale or registration. Affiliate marketing is great if you have a blog, especially if you’ve managed to acquire a readership. However, you don’t have to be a blogger to take advantage of affiliate marketing. You can post the links on message boards or forums all over the Internet. Affiliate marketing can be a work at home business by itself.
Another opportunity is actually buying and selling things online. Books have been written about how to make money on e-bay or other auction sites, and for some this might be a viable home business. Others of you might have your own products to sell. Maybe you take nature photography or are in a band or do arts and crafts. Well, sell your photographs or struggling demo CD or those personalized dream-catchers online. Set yourself up a website, either by using a website design program, learning html, or hiring someone to design it for you (if you’re smart, you’ll look to a local college and see if you can find a student looking for experience who would work for a reduced price or as a class project). Once you get your website up, you can do the rest of the marketing and selling work at home in front of your computer.
Online communities like Myspace or Friendster can be excellent tools to help you get your product onto the Internet market. Tapping into Myspace is tapping into millions of people worldwide. So if you’re trying to sell that CD or those photographs, join several of these online communities and market to the other members. Just remember to fo us your profile around your product and business. You’ll be amazed what you can accomplish having a community that size at your fingertips.
HAVE A PLAN
No matter which online work at home opportunity you choose, make sure that you think about it. Do real research into the ones you are using. Find out how other people have succeeded and failed. Make a concrete, long term business plan with short term, achievable goals. The people who wander haphazardly about the Internet, flitting from online business to online business are the ones who don’t make much money. If you take the time to do it right, to make a plan and have a direction, then you can be one of those who work at home and still make money.
